The Newest Ultra-Luxury Resorts in the Maldives:
The Fari Islands, the newest development of ultra-luxury resort islands in the Maldives, will see three new hotel openings throughout 2021 and 2022. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands and Patina Maldives have already opened their doors to travelers looking for an exclusive getaway and Capella Maldives is slated to open early 2022.
In addition to the three separate resorts, the Fari Islands will also feature a communal social area with tons of high-end shopping, beachfront bars and restaurants. Within the Fari Marina Village, there will also be a full marina with restaurants and beach clubs, taking a page from the buzzy destinations of Mykonos, St. Tropez, and Ibiza.
How to get to the Fari Islands:
Travelers will fly into either the Maldives capital airport in Male or the Velena International Airport. From there, you will take a short 50-minute speed boat ride to your chosen resort.

Patina Maldives
This unique resort features 90 villas and 20 studios, mixing between overwater and beachfront accommodations. Each accommodation features a pool, outdoor shower, and butler service. The team behind Patina Maldives worked with experts in the field and created a Spotify playlist specifically for the resort’s vibe. MAV and the resort's team created something that would engage guests. Dining venues consist of vegan cuisine, Michelin star establishments, and "farm to table" style with produce coming directly from their local garden. Flow, the standalone spa on property, features individual treatment pods, open air loungers and a koi pond. There is also a kids club where kids can enjoy indoor and outdoor activities while adults enjoy a day at the beach club and all that the Fari Marina Village offers.
